Code of Conduct for Pharmacy Students :
(D.Pharm, B.Pharm, and M.Pharm)
1. Academic Integrity
- Students must uphold honesty and integrity in all academic activities.
- Plagiarism, cheating, fabrication of data, or any form of academic dishonesty is strictly prohibited.
- Assignments, lab reports, thesis (for M.Pharm), and projects must be independently and ethically completed.
- M.Pharm students must maintain research ethics and avoid falsification of results or data.
2. Attendance and Discipline
- A minimum of 80% attendance is mandatory in theory and practical classes as per PCI.
- Students must arrive on time for all lectures, labs, exams, and clinical postings.
- Absence from classes must be justified with valid documentation (e.g., medical certificate).
3. Laboratory and Practical Conduct
- Lab coats, ID cards, and closed footwear are compulsory in labs.
- Handle chemicals, glassware, and equipment with care and precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in all laboratory and pharmacy practice areas.
- Avoid unauthorized experimentation or tampering with lab setups.
4. Professional Behavior
- Display professionalism in communication, attire, and conduct at all times.
- M.Pharm students, in particular, must exhibit leadership and mentor-like conduct for juniors.
- Students should respect all faculty, staff, patients, and fellow students.
- During hospital/community training, follow all ethical and institutional protocols.
5. Anti-Ragging & Anti-Harassment Policy
- Ragging is strictly prohibited as per UGC and PCI regulations.
- Any form of harassment (verbal, physical, or cyber) or discrimination is a punishable offense.
- Violations will lead to disciplinary action, which may include expulsion.
6. Internship and Industrial Training Conduct
- During internships or training:
- Be punctual, disciplined, and respectful at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality and decorum when dealing with patient data or company information.
- Submit training reports and certificates on time.
7. Campus Behavior
- No student shall engage in acts that tarnish the institution's reputation.
- Avoid littering, vandalism, or damage to institutional property.
- Smoking, substance abuse, and possession of prohibited materials are strictly banned.
8. Use of Technology and Resources
- Use the library, internet, and lab equipment responsibly and ethically.
- Refrain from accessing or distributing inappropriate digital content on campus.
- Use devices (phones, laptops) only for educational purposes during class hours.
9. Dress Code
- Students must wear neat, professional attire and white lab coats during practicals, clinics, and field visits.
- ID cards must be worn at all times on campus.
10. Consequences of Misconduct
- Violations of the code may result in:
- Verbal or written warnings
- Suspension from classes/labs
- Cancellation of internship or project
- Debarment from exams or placement
- Expulsion in severe cases
All students must abide by the institution’s Code of Conduct throughout the duration of the course.
