Placement Co-ordinator

The Training and Placement Cell is one of the most important committees of believing in providing promising career opportunities to aspiring pharmacy students. The cell acts as a strong link and facilitator between potential recruiters, encompassing pharmaceutical industries, Clinical Research organizations, medical communications, Insurance, FMCG, Hospitals, Advertising & Marketing Agencies, and students in order to ensure that our students get placements on campus.

The members of the Cell have since its inception, played an important role in providing diverse opportunities to our students to explore and participate in the practical aspects of pharmacy fields through internships as well as long-term research assignments. The Cell is committed to empower students with pre- placement skills that ensure best placements. We offer internships to all our students, across all our programmes that enhance their awareness of the world of work, accelerate personal maturity, self- awareness and ability to articulate skills and achievements thereby creating competitive professionals.

A Training and Placement Cell is a department within an educational institution that focuses on:

 

Key Objectives:

1. Training: Providing students with skills and knowledge to enhance their employability.

2. Placement: Assisting students in securing job opportunities through campus placements, internships, and industry connections.

3. To enhance the skills of students for Industry ready employer. 

4. To create promising career opportunities for students in reputed corporate.

5. To place the maximum number of students through campus & off-campus interviews conducted by the top-notch companies

6. Act as an interface among students, alumni and the employment community.

7. To maintain regular interaction with industry through Seminars- workshops, Guest Lectures and Conferences etc.

Functions:

1. Career Counselling: Guiding students in choosing career paths and preparing them for the job market.

2. Resume Building: Helping students create effective resumes and cover letters.

3. Interview Preparation: Conducting mock interviews and providing tips to improve interview skills.

4. Industry Connect: Building relationships with companies and organizations to facilitate campus placements and internships.

5. Skill Development: Organizing workshops, seminars, and training programs to enhance students' skills and knowledge.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Coordinating with Final year B.Pharm and M.Pharm students for Registration  and  placements.
  2. Updating the placement and Internship details on the college website and social sites.
  3.  Conceptualizing the Placement Brochure and Printing.
  4.  Organizing career counselling seminars and Guest lectures as per the industry needs
  5. Monitoring the market trends and analysing the job opportunities.
  6.  Coordinating with the Industries and follow up for job avenues and Internship.
  7.  Arranging of Mock Personal Interviews and   Technical Interviews.    
  8. Acquiring feedback from Employers

 

Expected Outcome

  1. To conduct career counselling seminars and provide necessary training to fill in the gaps which will eventually improve the standard of placements.
  2. To achieve 100 per cent Placement.
  3. To create a good CTC benchmark. 
  4. To increase the database with new companies.

Overall, a Training and Placement Cell plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between academia and industry, preparing students for successful careers

Summer Internship

Third Year B. Pharm Students have to undergo a one month industrial training. Internship programmes are arranged so that students can gain adequate exposure to industry and can come across with real time industrial problems. Internships are done in collaboration with industry and research centres. Students prepare a report on the project and submit the same to the college for evaluation. Students get to work as interns in pharmaceutical companies.
